Lars Moltsen graduated in 1996 from Aalborg University with a Master's
degree in computer science and mathematics. From 1996, he worked as a software developer and R&D engineer in Hugin Expert,
one of the first European companies in commercial AI software. In 2000, he joined an R&D unit in Nokia (Networks) as a specialist
in UMTS access control algorithms and operations support systems. Since 2003, Lars Moltsen has been an entrepreneur, initially working as
a freelance telecom/software engineer for Moltsen Intelligent Software, later developing and selling software solutions for mobile network
operations. An exit was done through a sale to Wirtek A/S in 2007, where Lars Moltsen took a role as team/project manager,
leading in particular the ATSIG project (European Space Agency) and initiating the HANDS project (European Union, FP7).
In 2009, he founded 2operate together with two former colleagues. During the first 7 years, he acted as the CEO before taking a role
as the Chief Science Officer, combined with a board membership, partly under a consultancy setup in Moltsen Advisory.
Between 2015 and 2017, Lars Moltsen started and headed the ETSACO project (European Space Agency) on the reuse of terrestrial concepts in space industry.
From 2017 he became project manager of the MegaMan project (Innovation Fund Denmark) on the application of 5G management standards for
satellite mega-constellations. Since February
2019, Lars Moltsen has been 100% dedicated to Moltsen Advisory.
